10% Free cover for this holiday season – how it works

You work hard all year so the holiday season is a time to relax and spoil yourself a little. We know that it’s the time of year when our clients indulge in expensive gifts or acquire special household items, which is why Santam thinks ahead in offering the peace of mind of free additional cover.

Purchases add up quickly 

December is a busy time of year so you might not keep track of everything you buy. If you’re planning a road trip, you might invest in a new GPS or portable DVD players for the kids. Or if you are enjoying a ‘staycation’, you might spoil yourself with a new patio set, a bigger TV or a new games console. Then there are all those lovely gifts like sunglasses, tablets, jewellery and more you will be buying or receiving. 

10% extra cover over the holiday season 

From 15 December to 31 January, all Santam clients will enjoy 10% extra cover on the contents of their home – absolutely free. Santam offers this to ensure that you have sufficient cover over the season of gifting and buying. Should you suffer any unexpected losses, the last thing you want to experience is an insurance shortfall. Insurance good and proper means having one less thing to worry about this holiday. 

Remember to include new items and update your cover 

Great news: you don’t need to do anything to receive this 10% extra cover. Should anything happen, all these extra items will be automatically insured under Santam’s additional holiday cover. However, after the 31^st of January, it’s imperative that you update your policy with any new items as they will no longer be covered. Keep all receipts and invoices in a safe place and remember to work out the current replacement value of items.
