Our skills development includes insurance technical skills, leadership and management development, employee assistance for academic studies, learnerships, quality assurance and the skills to grow South Africa’s challenging economy.

Santam’s Intermediary Development Programme

The sustainability, growth and education of intermediaries is very important to Santam. As the link to clients, our intermediaries remain the cornerstone of our business. At Santam we are committed to the transformation of the industry; to ensure its sustainability and to provide a better experience for clients. In 2021, we launched the Santam Intermediary Growth and Development Programme (SIGDP) to provide emerging intermediaries with vital skills and access to the industry. This effort enables us to help fast-track transformation in this sector, not only in terms of skills transfer, enterprise development, and job creation, but also in recognising an emerging market that is under-serviced and gradually narrowing its risk protection gap.
